Customer Pick Up/Hardware Associate


CPU Associates provide assistance to customers by filling orders and loading doors, windows and hardware purchases. They pull hardware orders and also keys locks. This position also assists the Mouldings department as needed.


  • A minimum of six months experience working in customer service and/or with building materials.

  • Preference will be given to applicants that have experience with hardware and keying locks.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Current valid driver’s license.

  • Repetitive lifting up to 60 pounds (up to 100 pounds on occasion with help).

  • Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the day.

  • Essential to possess good customer relation skills at all times with customers and other Mid-Valley staff.

  • Strong organizational ability.

  • Ability to adapt to the unexpected.

  • Legible writing is a must.

  • Must be a self-starter that can effectively work on an independent basis.

  • Positive attitude and move-forward thinking. 

Salary Range: $12.00 to $15.00/ hour
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm or 8:30 am – 5:30 pm



Responsibilities include pricing and estimating, reading blueprints and creating material take-off lists for windows, exterior and interior doors, door hardware, interior millwork, and bath accessories.


  • A minimum of two years experience estimating, preferably in residential or commercial hardware/door estimating

  • Excellent communication skills

  • High level of accuracy & attention to detail

  • Ability to read blueprints

  • Ability to work within deadlines on quoting and pricing

  • Knowledge of uniform building codes

  • Excellent organization, attention to detail and a willingness to learn something new everyday

Salary Range: $14.00 to $17.00/ hour (depending on experience)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Moulding/Millwork Associate

Moulding Associates are responsible for cutting doors and jambs of varying widths and heights. They also pull casings, shelving, flat stock, doors and bi-fold doors from various stock racks per the order. This position also cuts and prepares product for shipment and cross-trains in other production departments.


  • Minimum of six months work experience (in production/wood working/construction preferred)
  • Skill in general manufacturing procedures and equipment use, including hand tools, table saw, radial arm saw, jointer, sander, air drills, tape measure, and other basic shop equipment
  • Precision and attention to safety
  • Repetitive lifting of up to 60 pounds (up to 100 lbs on occasion with help)
  • Current driver license

Salary Range: $11.00 to $14.00/ hour (depending on experience)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (May work earlier and/or on Saturdays on occasion)

Project Assistant

Project Assistants provide administrative support within the Residential Sales department in the areas of pricing, order processing, change orders, order entry, as well as other administrative duties.


  • Minimum of one year experience in an office environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing and the use of spreadsheets.
  • Cooperative attitude and ability to function as a team player. 
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively make decisions.
  • Possess a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to grasp and understand technical details.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a construction background and/or knowledge of building materials.

Salary Range: $11.00 to $14.00/ hour (depending on experience)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Freight Handler

The Freight Handler receives incoming shipments from suppliers, pulls product, and loads outgoing shipments to customers. (Loading up to 53' trailers with product to be delivered to multiple states on a regular basis or as needed.) 

This position also assists other departments as needed, occasionally using a panel saw, staple gun, and radial arm saw.


  • Six months work experience in a receiving and/or shipping department (preferably in the building materials or construction industry)
  • Strong fork lift driving skills
  • Warehousing experience is preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience using a pallet jack, bander, panel saw, radial arm saw, tape measure, and staple gun preferred
  • Good penmanship and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills 
  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 60 pounds (and up to 75 lbs on occasion with help)
  • Ability to bend, lift, and twist on a regular basis
  • Current driver license

Salary Range: Determined by experience
